Welcome to our website and to Nemo South Dakota!

Welcome to Freebird Resort in Nemo, South Dakota! We are Bruce Keller and Traci Rambo, the owners of this vacation rental resort. Our love affair with Nemo started in 2005 when Bruce visited the valley for horseback riding and was instantly smitten. From a small riding cabin, we now offer three vacation rental homes on 20 acres - The Lodge, The Osprey, and The Owl, along with a swimming pool.

Bruce is a retired super-computer programmer and Traci is a retired realtor. After 20 minutes of retirement, we decided to create Freebird Resort.

Freebird Resort is three residences. Each is on it's own lot with plenty of room. We also have three RVs as smaller rentals. There are also walking paths down to the stream, a barn and pasture with horses, and an unobstructed view of Nemo Mountain.

From the east on I-90: Take Rapid City Deadwood Ave exit 55 south a couple miles. At the end, take a right turn onto West Chicago which becomes South Canyon which becomes Nemo Road. Travel Nemo Road for approximately 30 minutes (16 miles) to Nemo. In Nemo, turn right into our main driveway at 12736 Nemo Rd (the big log lodge house). Follow the signs to your place.

From the west on I-90: Take Sturgis exit 32. Take Vanocker Canyon Road 16 miles south until it Ts into Nemo Road. Turn left for 1/4 mile to Nemo. In Nemo, turn left into our main driveway at 12736 Nemo Rd (the big log lodge house). Follow the signs to your place.
