This lodge was an incredible place to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. It had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was so perfectly stocked with all the items we needed to cook dinner. Traci and Bruce have taken great care to make sure their guests have all they need to make their stay as if they were at home. This lodge is very well maintained, so clean.
Within 30-minutes to an hour of many tourist destinations and scenic drives. The house is spotless, inviting, comfortable and private. We enjoyed the brilliant sun and the starry skies at night. The host responded quickly to all inquiries and was extremely helpful in providing information about the area. The description and photos are on the money.
Regarding Owners, Bruce & Traci - meticulous, accommodating, friendly, professional, and prompt. Phenomenal location, excellent views, spacious, fully stocked with everything. Our recent family reunion was one of the most memorable thanks to Bruce, Traci, and Freebird Resort. Well worth the price!!
My family and I rented all cabins for a 5-day event. It fit 22 of us from 6 different states. Bruce and Traci were amazing hosts. They had everything you could think of. It was an amazing home away from home.

From the east on I-90: Take Rapid City Deadwood Ave exit 55 south a couple miles. At the end, take a right turn onto West Chicago which becomes South Canyon which becomes Nemo Road. Travel Nemo Road for approximately 30 minutes (16 miles) to Nemo. In Nemo, turn right into our main driveway at 12736 Nemo Rd (the big log lodge house). Drive up and park.
From the west on I-90: Take Sturgis exit 32. Take Vanocker Canyon Road 16 miles south until it Ts into Nemo Road. Turn left for 1/4 mile to Nemo. In Nemo, turn left into our main driveway at 12736 Nemo Rd. Drive up and park.
